Another international competition, another loss. I can't say I'm surprised. DC United lost the semifinal leg of the CONCACAF Champions' Cup to Pachuca 3-2 after a 2-1 win last night in DC.

Charles Boehm of MLSNet.com sums it up perfectly: "For all their success and consistency in league play over the past four years, United have been repeatedly denied the glory they crave in regional competitions like this one and once again the capital club found themselves unable to string together the necessary results over the span of a two-leg series."

When will DC break through the international barrier? The semifinal losses to Mexican teams get old after a while.
