The third of three Men's National Team tuneups took place yesterday at Giants Stadium with the US drawing Argentina, 0-0. The game comes on the heels of two losses in Europe in the past 10 days, first 2-0 to England and then 1-0 to Spain.
On the bright side, Landon Donovan got his 100th cap and the US was able to compete against 3 top-tier teams. Unfortunately, they finished the 3 game stretch with no goals to show for their performance. Outmatched in each game, the team now knows what it will take to compete at the highest levels.
World Cup qualifying opens June 22 against Barbados...let's hope they use their goal-scoring boots that day!
